European Coverage from Slovakia
DMF Express delivers to 28 European countries from Slovakia. Daily lanes to Austria, Germany, Czechia, Hungary and Poland, plus regular traffic to Italy, France, Benelux, Iberia and Scandinavia.

The European Union is our home market
Our main market is the countries of the European Union. Slovakia sits at its centre - between Vienna, Budapest, Prague and Kraków - and the main corridors to Austria, Czechia, Germany, Hungary and Poland run straight through the country.
Inside the EU customs union we drive with no customs formalities at the borders, under common road transport rules and with one set of documents (CMR). That is what makes freight between member states fast and predictable - and where a route leaves the EU, we handle the customs documentation as well.
Countries we deliver to

Daily and near-daily lanes
Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Slovenia.
These are our highest-frequency corridors. Same-day loading with next-day delivery is normal, and for Vienna, Brno and Budapest same-day delivery is routine.
Regular scheduled traffic
Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Croatia, Romania, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Greece, Finland, Norway, Ireland, the United Kingdom.
On request
Turkey, Ukraine and Moldova, subject to route and current conditions. Ask your forwarder - we will tell you honestly whether the lane is workable at the time you need it.
Indicative transit times from Bratislava
| Destination region | Direct run | Part load |
|---|---|---|
| Vienna, Brno, Budapest | same day | 1–2 days |
| Prague, Krakow, Graz, Zagreb | 1 day | 2–3 days |
| Munich, Nuremberg, Warsaw, Ljubljana | 1 day | 2–3 days |
| Berlin, Frankfurt, Milan, Bucharest | 1–2 days | 3–4 days |
| Hamburg, Rotterdam, Paris, Rome | 2 days | 4–5 days |
| Madrid, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Stockholm | 2–3 days | 5–7 days |
Transit times assume standard loading windows and legal driving times. Express direct runs with a two-driver crew are faster; see express transport.
Customs and non-EU traffic
Movements within the EU customs union need no customs formalities, which is why intra-EU road freight is so straightforward. Outside it - Switzerland, the Western Balkans, the UK, Norway, Turkey - you need documentation, and the documentation is where delays actually happen.
We prepare and coordinate:
- Export and import declarations with our clearing partners
- T1 transit documents for goods moving under customs control
- EUR.1 movement certificates and preferential origin documentation
- ATA carnets for temporary admission (trade fairs, exhibits, demonstration equipment)
Send the commodity code, the incoterm and the parties involved, and we will tell you what is needed before the truck is at the border rather than after.
Driving bans and seasonal restrictions
European driving bans are the most common reason a delivery date slips for shippers who plan with a map application:
- Sunday and public holiday bans for heavy goods vehicles apply in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia and most of Western Europe.
- Austria applies night restrictions on parts of the A12 and A13 and seasonal transit rules in Tyrol.
- France and Italy add Saturday restrictions during peak holiday periods.
- Switzerland prohibits night driving for heavy vehicles and applies a strict weight regime.
- Winter equipment is mandatory in Austria, Germany, Czechia and Slovenia during the winter months, and Alpine passes can close at short notice.
All of this is priced and scheduled into our quotes. If a date is not achievable legally, we say so at the quoting stage.
