DMF Express curtain-side truck on an international road freight route in Europe

Road freight across Europe, organised end to end

International road freight is the backbone of European supply chains - and the part most likely to go wrong when nobody is watching it. DMF Express plans, books, documents and monitors the whole movement from the moment the goods leave your ramp until the signed CMR comes back to you.

Our focus is freight within the European Union: no customs formalities at internal borders, common road transport rules, and the main Central European corridors - to Austria, Czechia, Germany, Hungary and Poland - within a day’s drive. For routes outside the EU we take care of the customs documents as well.

What the service covers

DMF Express 7.2 t curtain-side truck in front of a warehouse with loading docks

  • Route planning and pricing - realistic transit times based on driving-time regulations, toll costs, border crossings and seasonal restrictions, not a generic per-kilometre rate.
  • Vehicle selection - our own 7.2 t curtain-side vehicles for consignments up to 3 200 kg and 15 Euro pallets, or standard, mega and jumbo trailers from our carrier network for anything up to 24 t.
  • Transport documentation - CMR consignment notes, ADR documentation where applicable, and coordination of export declarations and T1 transit documents for non-EU traffic.
  • Cargo insurance - CMR liability cover on every shipment, €600,000 liability cover for domestic transport within Germany, and optional all-risk cargo insurance for high-value goods.
  • Tracking and reporting - GPS position data, status updates at loading, border and unloading, and proof of delivery returned promptly.

Why clients move their lanes to us

DMF Express curtain-side truck being unloaded by crane at a building site in the Alps

Most new clients come to us after a bad experience with a pure brokerage - a price that changed after loading, a vehicle that never arrived, or a forwarder who stopped answering when the truck was late. Because we operate our own fleet, we carry part of the risk ourselves, and that changes how we quote: we price what the route actually costs, and then we stand behind it.

The practical result is boring in the best possible way. The truck arrives in the agreed window, the paperwork is correct the first time, and you hear from us before you have to ask.

Getting a quote

Send the loading and unloading addresses, the gross weight, the dimensions or pallet count, the loading date and anything unusual about the sites - ramp, tail lift, forklift, restricted access, timed slot. On working days you will normally have a firm price within 15 minutes.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does delivery from Slovakia to Germany take?
A direct run from Bratislava to southern Germany (Munich, Nuremberg) is typically next-day; Frankfurt, Cologne and the Ruhr area are usually 24 to 48 hours depending on the loading time and driving-time regulations. Part loads run on fixed departure days and normally take one to two days longer.
Who is liable if the goods are damaged in transit?
International road transport is governed by the CMR Convention. The carrier is liable for loss or damage occurring between taking over the goods and delivery, up to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross weight. For goods worth more than roughly €10–12 per kilogram we strongly recommend additional all-risk cargo insurance, which we can arrange per shipment.
What documents do I need to provide?
For EU-internal transport: a packing list and a commercial invoice, plus safety data sheets for ADR goods. For traffic crossing the EU customs border we also need the commodity code, the incoterm and the exporter and importer details so we can prepare the export declaration and T1 transit document.
